15 Jun The Town of Bisbee
Bisbee, Arizona, is a picturesque town located on the slopes of the Mule Mountains about 70 miles east of Patagonia. Founded in 1880 as a result of the growth of the Copper Queen Mine, the town chose not to die when the mine closed in 1975. The inhabitants reinvented their community as a tourist destination which is remains to this day. The wonderful old buildings house shops, galleries, restaurants, breweries and a coffee factory. The headquarters of the mining company has been converted into the Bisbee Mining & Historical Museum which is affiliated with the Smithsonian. If you choose, your trip to Bisbee can also include a guided tour of the mine. No work required, we promise
